How to get rid of it?
Choose C (7-bit US-ASCII English locale) locale
- Temporary workaround: Select Options -> Langauges -> C at the CDE/GNOME/JDS login menu button
- Permanant fix: Remove the LANG line in the /etc/default/init file and then reboot the system; then C locale will be used as the system's default locale. Or simply replace en_US.UTF-8 with C in /etc/default/init
